Welcome to Rhyne Park! We are a recreational fast pitch softball league for girls ages 4-13+. Our league is great for girls of any age and skill level. Discover more about our park below and throughout our website.
RECREATIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
Our recreational league plays two seasons each year. (spring and fall)
Spring season opens registration in December and runs February thru May.
Fall season opens registration in July and runs August thru November.
AGE DIVISIONS OFFERED
6U (ages 4-6)
This is a great introductory level. Learn the basics of softball and progress from tee to coach pitch. Score is not kept at this age.

8U (ages 7-8)
Another great introductory level. Learn the fundamentals of softball in this coach-pitch division.
Practices per week: 2
Avg games per week: 1-2
10U (ages 9-10)
This is the first division where our athletes pitch. Walks are not allowed. Coach pitch rules if 4 balls occur. Steals are allowed.

Avg games per week: 1-2
12U (ages 11-12)
This division follows true USA softball rules with a few exceptions.

13+ (ages 13-18)
This division follows true USA softball rules.

WHAT AGE DIVISION IS MY ATHLETE ELIGIBLE FOR?
NEW IN 2025...Rhyne Park has modified our age divisions to align with other parks and programs that we play with.
For Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, your athlete's age division is based on her age as of Sept 1, 2025.

Athletes are not permitted to "play down" under any circumstances. "Play up" requests are allowed and based on tryout and availability.
PRACTICES
Practices are generally on weeknights at either Rhyne Park or Nickajack Park.
Timings below are general practice timings and may vary.
Practice days will vary by team.
6U athletes generally practice 5p-6p
8U-10U athletes generally practice from 6p-7:30p
12U-13+ athletes generally practice from 7:30p-9p
GAMES
Games are generally played on Saturdays but will also be scheduled for some weeknights and Sundays.
Rhyne Park is part of the "Its for the Girls" softball league. This group consists of Rhyne Park Girls Softball, Milford Girls Softball, Kennesaw Baseball & Softball, and Kennworth Softball.
Gameplay rules are the same for all teams in these parks and are listed on our website.
Game locations may vary including Rhyne Park, Nickajack Park, Hurt Road Park, Adams Park, or Kennworth Park.

Every player is unique, so your needs may vary. Below is a list of suggested equipment for your player. Consult with your coach before making purchases. Some equipment may be available for sharing.
Batting Helmet w/Face Guard
Softball Bat
Softball Glove
Softball Face Guard (for 8U and up)
Black softball pants
Rubber molded cleats or turf shoes (metal cleats are not allowed due to turf fields)
(Jersey and socks will be provided for games)
